Thus begins the Real Time Strategy game Amoebattle. This game with adorable graphics is one that I passed at first glance.

And then I played it.

As the opening states, this isn’t some shovelware game you pickup for kicks and giggles. This is about survival of the fittest and clawing your cute, one celled self up the proverbial food chain, RTS style.

The controls are good, which was surprising after the last RTS I tried to play on a handheld console. (Damn you, Squenix and your Heros of Mana! Blah!)

I’ve only played a little bit, I have to say, it’s a good little game at 5 bucks and is available on iOS and DSiWare.
